There is no way to properly digest the events which caused me to lose focus on motherhood without starting at the beginning. I did the best I could for you and in the eyes of the State of Nebraska Child Protective Services, it wasn't enough.

Not everything was as it seemed

There were times in our lives when we were crying out for help and trying to fix a problem that we knew was brewing.

Then I thought about it a little more. Looking back, there are many things we could have done differently. For one, we could have been more discreet with our choice of friends, associates and hangouts.

Seriously we did our best to look out after you though we couldn't convince the courts of that.
